Mohera Jamidar Bari, located in Mirzapur, Tangail, is one of Bangladesh’s most well‑preserved and architecturally stunning zamindar estates. Built in the 1890s by two wealthy brothers, Kali Charan Saha and Anand Saha, the estate spans about eight acres and reflects a blend of Roman, Mughal, Byzantine, and English architectural styles. The complex includes several remarkable lodges such as: Chowdhury Lodge – Roman-style pink building with tall pillars Ananda Lodge – Often considered the most beautiful, featuring blue‑white accents and sculpture gardens Maharaj Lodge – Byzantine influence with massive columns Kalicharan Lodge – Distinctive U-shaped English architectural design. The estate also features scenic water bodies such as Bishakha Sagar, Pasra Pond, and Rani Pond, which enhance the serene environment. Today, the property serves as a Police Training Center, yet remains open for tourists and is considered one of the best-maintained zamindari heritage sites in Bangladesh.
