Hummingbird Highway at Adytum Sanctuary

We've lived at Adytum Sanctuary almost a decade and I've never seen this many hummingbirds here before. Every year birds return to nest and some of these hummingbirds don't migrate anymore but stay on. That's a difficult scenario when it drops below freezing. The responsibility to keep these feeders thawed out weighs heavily on us. These little jeweled creatures have placed their full trust in us. Additionally we have hundreds of flowers here for them to feed on. We also have a wild bees nest and a lot of honeybees as we use no pesticides or chemicals on this property. Enjoy!
