In today's video I will be doing a Behmor roast using Artisan logging software. The Behmor coffee roaster is great to use at home. Many professional roasters started on a Behmor. One of the mysteries of this machine is the temperature readings it displays. The A and the B temperature buttons along with the quartz heating element make this roaster a little challenging when it comes to interpreting the temperature displays. What is really happening inside that roaster! Behmor Roast Using Artisan is easy. I connected artisan to the Behmor using two "K" type probes and place them so the display graph presents both the bean temperature and exhaust/environmental temperature similar to a traditional drum roaster. Follow along with me as we talk about roasting coffee, interpret temperature readings and roast some coffee on the Behmor 1600 Plus. By the way, to use artisan with your roaster you will need the probes and data connector. See links below: The connector is called a Phidget 1048_2 Temperature Sensor with 4-Inputs and a usb connector. You can find this phidget here https://www.phidgets.com/?tier=3&cati... . You will also need to get the data cable which you can find on that site. The probes found below can be purchased on Amazon and I have provided the affiliate links to those probes. I may receive a fee if you buy those using that amazon link. It doesn't cost you anything extra but it does support this channel.
