The incident happened on the open deck during a recent Eastern Caribbean cruise. MSC Cruises has updated its policy to ban smart glasses in public areas on board. According to the cruise line’s official website, “devices capable of covertly or discreetly recording or transmitting data (e.g. smart glasses) are not allowed in ships’ public areas.” Jamaica has reopened all major cruise ports following Hurricane Mellissa, which was one of the strongest storms to hit the region.
