This week I'm testing the Leapmotor C10 - a fully electric five-seater SUV that caught my attention with its price tag under $50,000. This car genuinely fits three child seats across the back row with room to spare. I managed to install two forward-facing seats and a rear-facing one without any drama, and there's still plenty of legroom for a tall driver. The boot swallowed our Thule Urban Glide double pram with shopping bags to spare, and those OEKO-TEX certified seats are surprisingly comfortable. But here's where things get tricky - absolutely everything runs through that central touchscreen. Want to adjust the windows? Multiple screen taps. Climate control? More screen navigation. Even locking the car requires tapping a credit card on the driver's side mirror, leaving your kids standing on the kerb while you walk into traffic. The tech interference doesn't stop there - constant distraction warnings and lane assist that feels more like a pinball machine than a safety feature make this a challenging daily driver for busy parents.
