Humanity has pondered on life after death since the beginning of time. Apart from the revelation of Scripture, it is a merry-go-round of speculations based on empiricism and rationalism from the mind of limited, sinful humanity. Only Scripture gives us the Gospel message of the saving work and victory of Jesus Christ on behalf of fallen mankind. The power of the Gospel has never failed, not even once, to save those who hear and receive it, for the Gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). Not only do Pastors and Evangelist have a duty to proclaim the Message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but also individual believers. We are all the messengers of this Good News. Although the power of making this message understandable to the unbeliever, as well as making it effective for salvation to the one who believes, is God the Holy Spirit.
