Say It Again (Harry Richman, Abner Silver) - Played by Nathan Glantz And His Orchestra Vocal chorus by Irving Kaufman Recorded by The Plaza Music Company / Banner / Regal Records, New York, February, 1926 This Issue: Australian "Fosseys" paste-over label on American Regal Record No.8020-A (Labelled as "The Missouri Jazz Band") Matrix: 6454 Personnel / Instrumentation: Earl Oliver and another, t / tb / Nathan Glantz, as, ldr / cl, as / cl, ts / bar / p / vn / bj / bb / d Nathan Glantz (1878-1937) was a Russian-born musician, saxophone / reeds player and bandleader. Following his migration to the United States Of America in 1905 and learning music, he played, performed and recorded with many well-known dance bands from around 1916. By the early 1920's he had formed his own band and continued to record prolifically for various labels under his own name and pseudonyms until the early 1930's. The recordings he led or participated in would number in the many hundreds. (Or more!) The "Fosseys" label was pasted over original American Regal and Oriole records imported to Australia. "Fosseys" were an Australian department store founded by Alfred Fossey in Sydney in 1926. Fosseys became an Australian retail stalwart building to almost 150 stores before they were absorbed in to the Coles variety and even more recently, Target retail chains. Recorded and processed from an original vintage 78 record by myself with the generous support and cooperation of "Mechsounds".
