Libraries for Literacy is a cross-county initiative empowering communities through access to learning, creativity and connection. Delivered across libraries in Charleville, Mitchelstown, Kilmallock and Cappamore, this project has brought people together through engaging literacy activities, inspiring workshops and community-led events that support lifelong learning. Libraries for Literacy is about making literacy accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. By investing in libraries as inclusive community spaces, the project supports confidence, opportunity and stronger, more connected communities across Cork and Limerick. This video brings together stories from across the project, shining a light on the vital role libraries play in empowering communities and improving literacy throughout the region. *The Libraries for Literacy project, funded by Solas through the Collaboration and Innovation Fund, is a collaboration between Ballyhoura Development, Cork Education and Training Board, Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, Cork Libraries, Limerick Libraries, Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS), and Fighting Words.
