Artist Statement (2022): My works consist of materials from my past that connect with my current present. In my college thesis, "1217 West California Avenue", I make use of 20 years worth of journal entries from myself and my late mother and grandmother. With this project I am able to bring the viewer through new beginnings, loss, motherhood, and growing up. "1217..." exposes my deeply personal thoughts and instances anyone can find themselves connecting their own experiences to. **** Thank you for taking the time to watch my college thesis.
