DAY 18 - Joshua 13–24: Inheritance and Covenant Renewal OVERVIEW After the major battles of conquest, the focus shifts from warfare to inheritance. The land must now be distributed among the twelve tribes of Israel according to God’s instructions. Each tribe receives territory within the Promised Land, transforming Israel from a wandering people into a settled nation. These chapters emphasize that the land is not merely property; it is a sacred trust connected to the covenant relationship between God and His people. Toward the end of Joshua’s life, the nation gathers for a covenant renewal ceremony. Joshua challenges Israel to remain faithful to the Lord and reject the idolatry of surrounding nations.
