I have a very strong disliking towards drink brands made by social media influencers. Me being old and bitter aside, There's an interesting mix of containers returned in this video. I had brought 2 steel cans in the hopes that either the machine would take them, or display the "not aluminum" message seen in the last Putnam video. Unfortunately this was not the case, I think it has to recognize the barcode first before detecting any metal. It seems that T-42s would say "not aluminum" regardless if the barcode was recognized or not, while T-62s would prioritize "store does not accept this brand". Note the Sunny D bottle being accepted, these are made of #2 plastic, or HDPE. This, as well as steel Dole and Sapporo cans being accepted elsewhere, implies that there are not necessarily material restrictions within the bottle bill. This being said, it's explicitly stated that cartons, pouches and miniatures (under 150ml) are non-deposit.
