The IKON WSW is an unusual high-security lock with 6-pin tumblers and additional spring-loaded sliders combined with sidebars. A special feature of this lock is that the number of sliders differs between the outer and inner parts. While the outer half cylinder has a total of 7 (5 + 2) sliders and two sidebars due to the higher security requirements, the inner half cylinder has only 5 sliders and one sidebar. For this reason, the two parts also differ quite significantly in terms of picking difficulty. In this video, I'm picking and gutting the outer part. For the inner part, there is a separate video: • IKON WSW (with 5 Sliders) Picked & Gutted To open the lock, I use various tools. I start with the pin tumblers in the main stack, using a slightly thicker Peterson gem because the pins have very small tips that are easy to slip off. Next, I set the sliders on the left side of the keyway using a simple tool I created for a different lock some time ago. Finally, I set the sliders (on the right side of the keyway) with a Multipick G-Pro No. 13 flag pick. Picking the sliders on both sides is particularly tricky because the tolerances in this lock are very tight, and you have to set many of the sliders multiple times. The IKON WSW with 5 sliders is ranked black in the LPU belt ranking system. 00:00 Introduction 01:11 Picking 06:30 Open 06:52 Gutting 14:18 Close up
