Level Name : Kraken's Sanctuary Level Author : Baron FQ Created On : July 7, 2025 Finally a perfect score after a long time and on one of the most recent custom levels. Kraken's Sanctuary which was done last month by Baron FQ is a pretty huge Underseacaves level and ends up as the largest vanilla based on the 12th tileset and not just the length, the level is pretty hard and requires lot of strategy and care similar to Mystery of Shipyards. It is a pretty unusual and interesting level as well and there is straight away a multi-directional puzzle with quite an amount of elevators requiring to be triggered and henceforth the level is almost like puzzles one after the other giving the vibes of Deepest Halls of Terror. It definitely took way more attempts than I expected to attain perfect score particularly due to the first long catnip secret which had pretty difficult exercises and togglepegs that turn off for more time than expected. However what follows is a well-made main path with a series of rectangularly revolving elevators. There also exists a very tangled secret area which is hyperlinked in unusual ways. Particularly a warp with three elevators and mercats stand out due to its creativity as well as how funny the warp is lol. The invincibility attained there is required to bypass the previous segments and retreat back to another secret which further leads to an elevator returning to the main path spot ending the complicated tour. After all these shenanigans, there comes another mazy arena but this time quite straightforward but however includes a secret warp which is yet again creative with a series of train-like elevators and bunch of tricky togglepegs. Apart from that warp, there are even quite tricky stalactite portions that normally cannot be figured out and requires to adopt a different strategy to dodge them. Then comes a very huge open arena with multiple connecting elevators and another invincibility based secret which itself is reached after picking up the catnip through the triggered elevators. There is even quite a symmetry in this area and can expect a similar amount of trigger elevators in the later half of this arena. Finally comes the conclusive part which is yet again a puzzle requiring a very distant elevator to be triggered to unlock the direct route to the ladder. But the path to elevator involves a series of exercises that are tricky but doable and properly timed. There is even a very long catnip that requires it to backtrack through all these portions and attain a warp at the very start of the main path. This warp is even more fun with the design particularly how the elevators appear to emerge from the static elevators and this one is fairly simple but creative. It is further followed by a crumble peg portion whose strategy was hinted on the walls before reaching the warp earlier. In fact there are few other portions where you could encounter such hints on the strategies to be taken before reaching the warp or secret area. Coming to the boss fight, it is pretty hard but cleverly designed that there is no chance of camping at a place and destroying Aquatis by making the togglepeg turning off after a brief period of time. The boss can be defeated only in a sophisticated way where there are 5 upper chambers each with floorspikes, stalactites and mercats sufficient enough to reduce a significant amount of health. It requires to ascend upwards and then reach the peg on the other side for five attempts. However there is an elevator at the topmost chamber to ensure that player doesn't get stuck after having failed in any one of the attempts in throwing dynamites. Altogether a very hard and tricky one to get perfect score but immensely creative level from Baron which is worth giving a try and particularly for those who love innovative challenges.
