The process of making an electroless gold plated cuban link bracelet from an old copper bracelet: I found an old copper bracelet at a flea market and started taking the bracelet apart. It was an easy task, because it was a simple bracelet. The copper wire from the bracelet was very uneven, so I straightened the wire with a wire stipper tool. Then I twisted the straight wire around an old copper pipe I had lying around in the workshop. Afterwards I sawed up the copper rings and soldered them together to make a chain. I then turned the copper chain into a cuban link chain and sanded it into shape. Then I took the old copper plate from the old bracelet and sawed out pieces that I had previously measured. I soldered the copper pieces together to make a copper clasp, which I then soldered onto the cuban link chain. Afterwards I polished and washed the chain in order to goldplate it. I did this with an ELECTROLESS gold plating, which is a chemical process that deposits a thin layer of 24 ct gold onto my cuban bracelet without using electricity. Then my bracelet became a Gold Plated Cuban link bracelet. After I polished it, I was pretty happy with the result. Be careful and wear protective equipment when working with acids and hazardous substances. #makingbracelets #mensjewelry #goldplatedbracelet #copperjewelry Subscribe for more My Projects - videos: / @my-projects If you want to be se how I made a Silver and copper bracelet Cuff, you might want to watch this video: Cool CUFF Bracelet Making - NO Solder - In My Workshop: • Cool CUFF Bracelet Making - NO Solder - In...
