Unlike most 16-bit shooters of its time, Operation Logic Bomb relies on a more thoughtful approach. Combat isn’t all about rushing forward — it’s about lining up shots from safe angles, strafing to avoid incoming fire, and using corners and obstacles to control each encounter. It’s a more deliberate and methodical style of action that rewards patience and spatial awareness, giving the game a distinct feel compared to flashier shooters of its era. Despite the strength of its gameplay, Operation Logic Bomb never found the recognition it deserved in 1993. Released during a crowded period in the SNES library and without the marketing muscle of bigger publishers, it quietly slipped past most players. Its slower, more atmospheric pacing didn’t match the expectations set by the era’s blockbuster action titles, and without franchise recognition or arcade lineage, it simply faded into the background. Today, it stands as one of Jaleco’s most interesting and overlooked contributions to the system. This playthrough is captured directly from original Super Nintendo hardware on a CRT, preserving the warmth, glow, and texture of the 16‑bit era.
