Dover Premier Inn and DFDS escape to France

We stayed at the Premier Inn https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hote... in Dover's eastern Dock before joining our early ferry to Calais. We had seen mixed reviews on the hotel and you are advised to book a table in the restaurant. Also, it is a great idea to ask for a sea-facing room as the other side has a lot of traffic noise and no view! We were lucky to have a family looking over the docks. Please note that although the rooms appear to have air conditioning, it doesn't work although fabs are provided. The room gets very hot at night. The restaurant food was good although service was quite slow even though it wasn't crowded. However, we would say there again as the ferry was only 5 minutes away. We then catch the ferry to France. This is the first of a series of videos on our French trip in August 2022 where we will be exploring a small French campsite as well as a fully serviced pitch with private facilities on a Yelloh Village resort. We also stay in an unusual AirNB in the charming town of Cabourg.
