Visiting Czech PM meets South Korean President Park

(26 Feb 2015) Czech Prime Minister Bohuslave Sobotka and South Korean President Park Geun-hye held a bilateral meeting in Seoul on Thursday. The two leaders agreed on the adoption of a joint declaration to establish a strategic partnership. They also pledged cooperation on the peaceful unification of the Korean peninsula. "We have announced our support for the peaceful unification of two Koreas," Sobotka said, adding that Seoul "can be assured that we will provide the best support for every peaceful initiative." Park said the Czech Republic's "successful transformation and experience will surely give a clear message that will stimulate North Korea to alter their way." Sobotka and his delegation are on a three-day visit to South Korea.
