Dacia Duster Hybrid-G 150 4x4 2026. The Dacia Duster Hybrid-G 150 4x4 (2026) introduces a world-first powertrain concept that combines hybrid technology, bi-fuel petrol/LPG capability, and electric all-wheel drive in a single system. Designed to preserve the Duster’s renowned off-road ability while significantly reducing running costs and emissions, this new drivetrain marks a major step forward for the model. At the heart of the system is a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mild-hybrid 48V petrol engine delivering 140 hp to the front axle, paired with a rear electric motor capable of providing up to 31 hp on demand. The combined system output reaches 154 hp, with 230 Nm from the combustion engine and up to 87 Nm from the electric motor. Power is managed through a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddles. The rear electric motor is connected to an innovative 2-speed gearbox, allowing strong torque delivery at low speeds and improved efficiency at higher speeds. This enables effective electric rear-axle drive up to 140 km/h. A neutral decoupling mode eliminates mechanical drag in 4x2 cruising, optimizing fuel consumption. Energy is supplied by a 0.84 kWh 48V Li-Ion battery, recharged automatically during deceleration and braking phases. In urban driving, the Duster Hybrid-G 150 4x4 can operate in electric mode for up to 60% of the time. The bi-fuel setup includes 50 litres of petrol and 50 litres of LPG, delivering a total driving range of up to 1,500 km (WLTP) without refuelling. Average consumption is rated at 7.1–7.2 l/100 km (LPG) and 5.5–5.6 l/100 km (petrol), with CO₂ emissions reduced by around 20 g/km compared to the previous mechanical 4x4 mild-hybrid 130 version. Running costs can be up to 30% lower thanks to LPG operation. The electric rear axle provides instant torque when grip is lost and enables a highly effective AWD system without a traditional mechanical driveshaft.
