Mist Dragon: I attack with Cecil three times until it turns into mist. Once it comes out, heal and then use darkness to prepare when it reforms. Then attack twice heal and it should mist again. Repeat once more and it should die. Baron Guardsmen: Pretty much the same as normal. Leave one infantryman alive and then kill the general. Last one is easy to finish off. Octomammoth: Very difficult fight. Using a high potion (which can be won from certain enemies, like the orange fish or the alligator) or an x-potion near the end of the fight is almost essential, as well as using a hermes sandals. I generally normal attack until it has only 4 tentacles and then go all out with darkness afterwards. Antlion: Fight is much easier than the previous. Go all out when its eyes turn red, heal with potions when needed, and then defend/heal when its eyes turn white. Spider's silk probably is not necessary, but I did it for good measure. Mom Bomb: Kill Yang off and spider silk the boss. The boss should explode, and then you should target the blue bombs first as self destruct does 250 damage each. Red bombs only deal 50 damage with self destruct, so Cecil with ~200 hp should be fine. I made the mistake of using too many hi potions. Fabul Gauntlet: Baron Guardsmen here are much tougher. Strategy is mostly the same as before except you are at a decently high risk of death. Grinding just to consistently fight these guys is not a bad idea if you're having trouble. Rest of the enemies are not much of a threat, except the flying demon guy can cast tornado (I think), so be careful). You're home free when you see Kain. Scarmiglione 1: I put Cecil in the back and use counter + hi potions. Each zombie takes 1 hi potion each and the boss takes 3. Boss does counter with thunder for ~200 and each zombie can drain for ~100. Scarmiglione 2: This can be a long and tedious fight without an elixir, and requires a lot of hi potions. I did not have any spider's silk left and was low on cash in Mysidia. Using an elixir here saves a lot of time spent grinding and fighting the boss, and it is really fun to deal 9999 damage so early. Other dangerous enemies: Tiny mages are very deadly early on and undead enemies resist Cecil's basic attacks. I would probably run from both.
