Azores Terceira Volcano Update; Ongoing Magma Intrusion, Alert Level Raised

An intrusion of magma is now confirmed to be ongoing at a volcano in Portugal, specifically in the Azores Island chain. There, at the Terceira volcano, its alert level has just been raised after fresh ground deformation was detected. This follows a slow escalation which has been ongoing since mid 2021. This video will discuss the ongoing volcanic unrest and give context as to its intensity via the opinion of a geologist.
