Hi, my name is Stacie and I have been teaching yoga for almost seven years and love it! Yoga has changed my life and there is nothing I love more than to share the gift of yoga with others. I am an incredibly energetic and goofy person and love making my yoga classes challenging, lighthearted, educational, and fun! Proper alignment in yoga is the driving force to my teaching methods and my sequences are thoughtfully planned so that each pose is a building block to the next. I also have a background in personal training and certified through NASM. The focus of this class is to build you up to the peak arm balance pose, Tittibasana or "Firefly Pose". In order to access this pose we will work on opening and strengthening our hips, hamstrings, chest, shoulders, and core. There will be particular emphasis on proper muscular activation, core engagement and alignment in externally rotated, hip-opening poses. This class will strengthen and lengthen your entire body and leave you feeling energized and rejuvenated. Side Note: Although this class is listed as Advanced, it is all levels friendly and modifications are given. Modify as needed and most importantly, be humble and practice today so that you may practice tomorrow!
