In Burgundy, in the village of St-Christophe, lives the Preynat family. Henri, the father, is retired since 10 years but is still working in the farm with his two daughters, Lauren and Florence. He hopes that the girls will, one day, take up the torch and take care of the cows and the goats. The sisters aren't sure yet, that they want to do their father's job, even if farmer is not a man's job anymore. The mother, Jocelyne, produces goat cheese that her husband is selling through the region. The whole family likes to cook and to prepare typical French dishes, like pot-au-feu, the famous Bresse chicken or the essentials snails. What's cookin' is about traditional culinary recipes from different European regions.
