In this powerful Ramadan reminder, Ustadh Mohamad Baajour explains that Allah (SWT) doesn’t look at our bodies or wealth, but at our hearts and deeds. (Muslim). The heart is the place where faith resides, where sincerity grows — and where corruption begins. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “There is a piece of flesh in the body; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt — indeed, it is the heart.” (Bukhari & Muslim). A clean heart cannot exist with a dirty tongue. Every word we say shapes our destiny: lies, insults, and gossip blacken the heart, while dhikr, forgiveness, and kind speech purify it. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should say what is good or remain silent.” (Bukhari). During fasting, when someone provokes you, respond with, “I am fasting.” This simple act trains the heart to stay calm and sincere. Ustadh Baajour reminds us that a sound heart (qalb saleem) is the only treasure that benefits on the Day of Judgment: “The Day when neither wealth nor children will benefit, except the one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.” (Surah Ash-Shu‘ara 26:88–89). May Allah (SWT) purify our tongues, soften our hearts, and grant us a heart that He loves and accepts. Ameen. 🎓 Original content by Ustadh Mohamad Baajour 🔗 Learn more at https://ustadhbaajour.org 📌 Used for educational purposes with attribution.
