Does a Mk7 GTI Resonator Delete Even Sound Different?

Keeping with the theme of subtly modified daily driver, I decided to go with the ECS Tuning resonator delete pipe for the mk7 GTI platform. Multiple videos showed it being louder or a different tone so I decided to start there as far as exhaust modification goes. The install was really easy and the fit and finish is really nice. I am, however, a little disappointed in my expectations of how much it would change the exhaust. At start up, you might get a little bit of a different tone/volume but otherwise it doesn't sound that much different. At some points throughout the rev range I can hear a slight variation in tone, DSG farts are slightly more pronounced. Is it worth it? If you have low expectations, and value weight savings over exhaust difference then yes. If you're looking for a dramatic change in volume or tone, save your money for a muffler delete or downpipe.
