Grease a standard loaf pan. In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add softened butter and mix until combined. In another bowl, mix bananas, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Add banana mixture to dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Do not overmix. Gently fold in toasted walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10–15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
