Fast forward to the 1990’s and GM revived the Grand Sport nameplate. With a price of $65,450; the 2017 Chevrolet Grand Sport Coupe offers an amazing performance deal. Visually the Grand Sport is distinguished from a regular Corvette thanks to the extra 80 mm of width which is borrowed from the Z06. The aerodynamic features are also taken from the top-of-the-line Z06. Under the hood is a 6.2 liter V-8 that makes 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. of torque. Complementing the engine is a sweet shifting 7-speed manual transmission. The model tested here also was equipped with the Z07 package ($7995) that adds Ceramic Brakes, Z07 Suspension w/Magnetic Selective Ride Control, and P285/30ZR19 Fr & P335/25ZR20 Rr Run Flat tires.
