You studied English language in the mornings and worked for a local company in the afternoons. The programme organiser has asked you to write a report about your experience. In your report, you should evaluate the programme, explaining which part of the programme was more useful, and suggest changes you would recommend for next year’s programme. Write your report. Introduction The purposes of this current report are to provide an evaluation of the “study and work programme”, carried out in the UK, to explain its main BENEFITS and to suggest improvements for the forthcoming years. Assessment In this writer’s view, the overall picture seems to be that the programme is extremely helpful as it allows students worldwide to foster their careers successfully in a foreign country. Furthermore, not only can students improve their English skills greatly, such as writing and reading, but also earn sufficient money to meet ends meet. Most beneficial parts Whether this programme means looking for a job or acquiring new knowledge, benefiting from an appealing overseas adventure was, in my own experience, a major reason TO DO IT as it allowed me to taste English culture. Contrary to my expectations, the skills learned through working experience were far more applicable THAN THOSE WHICH I learned from the study lessons. In addition, the wide range of works and the high remuneration offered were a powerful point in ITS favour. As a result, students could easily match their preferences and make the most of it. Enhancements suggested It is strongly advised that speaking lessons should be taught to students according to their individual needs. To GET TO know their demands BETTER, I would suggest implementing an evaluation ALONG a wide spectrum of topics. This would be beneficial as the programme would be able to focus on the weaknesses of the students. Last but not least, there is room for improvement in the Listening sessions.
