Cliff Edwards was known as "Ukulele Ike" during those "Roaring 20's". "Fascinating Rhythm" was a popular song written by George Gershwin in 1924 with lyrics by Ira Gershwin. It was first introduced by Edwards in the Broadway musical "Lady Be Good". Another generation would know Edwards as the voice of Jiminy Cricket in Walt Disney's "Pinocchio" (1940) & Jim Crow in 1941's "Dumbo". This audio is taken from an Armed Forces Radio Service transcription. The wartime show ("Your Army Service Forces") was broadcast on July 12, 1944 & features Edwards as a guest entertainer who had been touring with the USO.
