Happy Esper! Mindsplice Control gives annoying decks their comeuppance! | MTG Arena Standard MKM

I just posted back-to-back videos featuring an Esper Mindsplice Apparatus Control deck, but even after two videos, I had a few more games that were worth sharing. So today we get a bonus video themed around matches against some of the most annoying decks in the format. Let’s take down some counter spell players and various other villains of today’s standard. The deck, once again, is a version of Esper Control based on Mindsplice Apparatus. That’s right, we’re not bothering with any non-spell win conditions like silly creatures or flimsy planeswalkers! All their removal is useless, because we win with spells! Our only permanents are Celestus, Invasion of Arcavios, and of course Mindsplice Apparatus itself. All of which power out or find our spells (or both!). The deck has really great matchups — we run 12 sweepers to keep aggro at bay, plus quite a bit of life gain from March, Twilight, and Celestus. On the other hand, we have a great game against control because we can play at instant speed with Mindsplice, Deluge, and Outrageous Robbery, which can almost single-handedly win a game against control if timed properly.
