In this video I cover a new law in Washington making you have collector car insurance and a daily driver to be legal to have collector plates. YOM (year of manufacturer) plates in Washington has been a thing for a long time. You get permanent collector car plates and don’t have to pay tabs ever again. It is a very nice law, but unfortunately people have taken advantage of it and they had to change the law to prevent that. People were putting collector plates on cars and just daily driving them to avoid paying tabs. So the law recently changed that you have to show collector car insurance plus insurance on a daily driver to get the collector plates. Is this a good law or is it more government overreach?
