This is the best hike in Saas Fee, Switzerland! The Chamois Trail begins at the Hannig gondola station, or you can hike up from the town. The trail starts in wild terrain, overlooking the valley and towering glacial peaks. After crossing glacier streams, I descended a series of switchbacks through stunning golden larch trees. The trail continues along the mountainside, circling the valley. Gorgeous fall colors emerged along the glacial moraines, accompanied by spectacular mountain views—this part was the highlight of the day! The trail eventually reaches the valley floor, following a creek through the forest before opening up to the outskirts of Saas-Fee village. What a beautiful hike!
