OYW 2025: NL Youth Ambassador & Enterprising Futures Scholars on Peace Through Entrepreneurship

Continuing the momentum at One Young World, the second session organised by the NL Ministry of Foreign Affairs brought an inspiring and interactive discussion on entrepreneurship as a driving force for peace. ✨ Our NL Ambassador for Youth, Education and Work Jurriaan Middelhoff was joined on stage by three of our Enterprising Futures Scholars, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences to the conversation: Coumba Diakité (Mali), founder of BY'RECYCL, a social enterprise tackling plastic pollution and recycling waste Sara Ghanem (Lebanon), co-Founder of DOODA Solutions, an earthworm farm specialising in large-scale vermicompost production Michael Akinsete (Nigeria), Co-Founder of Ecotutu, a cleantech company providing affordable, solar-powered cold storage solutions for agriculture and healthcare. Together, they explored topics as the roles of governments and entrepreneurs in peacebuilding, the importance of including youth voices and whether peace itself is a vital precondition for entrepreneurship to thrive.
