A Work Session meeting of the City of Binghamton’s City Council. The City of Binghamton is located in Central Upstate New York near the Pennsylvania border. It is the County Seat of Broome County, and is home to Binghamton University’s high-tech business incubator and University Downtown Center, which is home to the College of Community and Public Affairs. Also SUNY Broome’s state-of-the-art Culinary and Event Center is located in the site of the former public library. The City features year-round events that draw thousands from around the region to our revitalized urban core. A monthly First Friday Art Walk brings visitors through downtown’s ever-expanding network of art galleries and often into the many new restaurants that have made Binghamton a food destination in recent years. Community members and visitors alike look forward to beloved annual events, such as the LUMA Projection Arts Festival, July Fest, Blues on the Bridge, Porchfest and the City’s famous St. Patrick's Parade Day.
