hello all, this video will show you how i make my vegan matcha green tea cake! if you've ever been disappointed by a matcha recipe that was so very... un-matcha, try this recipe and shake that disappointment away ;) now, i'm going to preface this video by saying that you should not expect a chiffon-style cake in this video (since it's basically impossible to make vegan T_T) buuuuut it is a great twist on more american-style cakes. this is definitely a "treat yo'self" kind of cake ;) i paired mine in the video with some vanilla buttercream, but i could see it going well with some chocolate or even MORE matcha flavors, too! this cake is also super delicious on it's own. as always with my recipes, this cake is vegan and therefore dairy-free and egg-free. it has the potential to be nut-free or soy-free, depending on the kind of vegan butter and vegan yogurt you use. it can also be made gluten-free by using cup-for-cup gluten-free flour :) enjoy!! follow me on instagram! @usagi.bakery music by epidemic sound: http://www.epidemicsound.com/
