These are my favorite gluten-free + dairy-free sugar cookies with a naturally colored icing made without food dyes 🌈 Perfect for holidays, birthdays, and sensitive kids 🤍 ✨ Honey-sweetened cookies ✨ Powdered sugar–free icing ✨ Colored with real foods like beets & spirulina Save this recipe and subscribe for more allergy-friendly, real-food treats 🌿 ⸻ 🍪 GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY-FREE SUGAR COOKIES Prep Time: 20 minutes Bake Time: 9–11 minutes Yield: ~3 dozen cookies Ingredients • 1 cup honey • 1 cup coconut oil, melted • 1 egg • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 3¼ cups brown rice flour • 2¼ cups arrowroot starch • ¼ teaspoon sea salt • 2 teaspoons baking soda • 1 teaspoon guar gum ⸻ Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together honey and coconut oil until smooth. 3. Add egg and vanilla, whisk until combined. 4. Add brown rice flour, arrowroot starch, sea salt, baking soda, and guar gum. Mix with a wooden spoon or paddle attachment until a ball of dough forms. Tip: If mixing by hand, lightly knead dough in the bowl to fully incorporate. 5. On a clean surface dusted with brown rice flour, roll dough to about ½-inch thick. 6. Cut into shapes and place on prepared baking sheet. Re-roll scraps until all dough is used. 7. Bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are lightly golden. 8.
