Boca Grande, Florida - 69 degrees on the beach

SW Florida woke up to 60 degrees. Weather this morning was absolutely beautiful. There was a ship out in the distance that finally came up through the water. Not sure what type of ship that was but have not see that before. If you happen to know, please comment. UPDATE: It was the new American Cruise Lines American Pioneer. This was her first visit through the pass. According to stats, she is 242 feet long, and was built in 2025. She holds 125 passengers. She is on a round trip Florida Gulf Coast and Keys Cruise, originating in St Petersburg and stopping in Marco Island and Key West before heading back to St Pete. American Pioneer is the "Patriot" class of the line, she was just Christened in Key West. The birds were having a great time this morning diving into the water for the fish. It's great to watch them. The water was calm, hardily a breeze blowing, sun was shining and just a great morning to be out and about. There were a number of people fishing at the tip of the island. Not sure if anyone caught anything when I was up around that area or not. I did not see anything. In the video you can see that you can no longer walk from the state park down the beach line to south beach restaurant or even further to the lighthouse. They have put boulders now against a wall. Not sure if that was planned all along but there was once sand and beach and now there is nothing. I could not walk up upon the sand where the wall is as they have construction equipment there. Will need to wait and see what exactly is happening in that area. You would have to be able to get to the other side of the beach some how. Time will tell.
