On today’s Zoom Chat, LCGCC CEO/President Carrie Hamblen talks with Richard Coltharp, College Assistant Professor both from the New Mexico State University Journalism and Media Studies program. Richard and Dr. Jeff Hunter, also from the Journalism and Media program are the featured guests of the upcoming Academy for Learning in Retirement speaker series that continues tomorrow. Jeff wasn’t able to join us but Carrie and Richard talk about the state of media today, their concerns about media coverage, the highlights of their upcoming remaining two talks, and what they hope folks will take away from their 4-part series. Tomorrow, Dr. Jeff Hunter will be presenting the talk “Pictures, Memes, Visual Media, and Artificial Intelligence” and Richard Coltharp will be presenting his talk “Living Well in the Information Age” as part of the fall series of talks about Understanding Modern Media, Thursday at the Dona Ana Community College East Mesa campus, 2800 North Sonoma Ranch Blvd. The doors open at 10am the presentation begins at 10:30am.
