Fantastic Freight at Ribblehead Tangmere too! Classes 60 66 70 Top the Long Drag To and From all three Settle & Carlisle line Quarry Sidings 19 Aug 25 Although it was overcast, windy and cold, I had a fantastic time at Ribblehead on Tuesday 19 August. We start out with a quick look at what's around Carlisle Citadel station while I head to my train along the Settle - Carlisle Line to Ribblehead. Once at Ribblehead, a walk onto Batty Moss to watch Tangmere back in service on The Dalesman from Chester heading to Carlisle. Apologies that I lost my vertical on the opening part of the clip - nothing to reference against until the train got to the viaduct. Northern have been running a 150 unit up to Blea Moor and back off the Clitheroe line, presumably more drivers getting route familiarisation. The the Aggregate trains firstly from Arcow crawling up to Blea Moor to run around. Hauled by GBRf's newly painted and renamed Class 66 for Rail 200. Fantastic red on the Midland! Before it had departed Blea Moor for the south, a Class 60 brings a train from Horton Quarry and has to wait just south of Ribblehead station. A slow restart as the Arcow train heads south and it headsup up to Blea Moor itself! And we have an empty train stop and back into Ribblehead siding! Coming from the North we see a Land Recovery aggregate train (spent ballast?) from Carlisle Network Yard followed by the 6K05 engineer's train and then finally the sweet smell of The Logs!
