Class 37s go to Eastriggs to pick out a pair of snow ploughs. On a sometimes bright and other times showery day, Monday 10th November saw a pair of West Coast Railways Class 37s go to Eastriggs to pick out a pair of snow ploughs. Some shunting was needed to get at the pair chosen by Network Rail to take to Shettleston Civil Engineers Works near Mossend. Later we see the ploughs en route first towards Carlisle then north towards Mossend passing Quintinshill. A few other trains pass while I'm there plus some temporary and permanent memorials to those who died at Quintinshill in 1915 in Britain's worst rail disaster. on Wednesday 12th the train with ploughs proceeded to Inverness, presumably for the winter. The locos returning to Steamtown on Thursday 13th. The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
