This candlelit 🕯️ hellride is 19 minutes at dusk as the light fades, and I’m pushing myself and my horse 🎹 like never before. For the first time in 18 months I really fall off, down in the mud, horse galloping off without me. Check it out - scroll to 17 minutes in. It’s messy! I really lose my way. And I’m not editing it out (though I may do a shorter version with other vision for fun). I want you to see in my fall more about what keeps me in the saddle the rest of the time. That is primarily that I’ve learned not to be afraid of mistakes. There are several throughout this piece, like close calls riding through a forest, bits of my shirt left on low branches. Let them stay there I say. The thrill of this is in the ride, and holes in my shirt are proof of how we were riding.
