Ramghat is called Ramghat because Shri Ram ji had come to Chitrakoot during his exile and had bathed at this place on the Mandakini river. That's why this place is known as Ramghat. Ramghat is very well built and completely paved. You can also enjoy boat ride in Ramghat . Ram Ghat, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Uttar Pradesh, is believed to be the place where Lord Rama, Goddess Sita and Lord Laxman held an elaborate conversation with Saint Goswami Tulsidas. Shri Matyagjendra Nath Temple: The identity of the religious city Chitrakoot is associated with Lord Shri Ram. But here on the banks of Maa Mandakini, there is the world famous ancient Matyagjendra Nath Shiva temple at Ramghat. The history of the temple is four ages old. In which the description of the glory of Shivling established is also found in Shivpuran. It is believed that the Shivling established in this temple was established by Lord Brahma himself with his own hands. It is said that Lord Brahma performed a yagya at this place. The Shivling that emerged from the effect of Yajna is known as Swami Matyagjendra Nath. Kamadgiri is the most prominent and oldest of the Chitrakoot pilgrimage sites . It is believed that by circumambulating the Kamadgiri mountain all the wishes of the people are fulfilled. Every year lakhs of devotees come here with their wishes and circumambulate barefoot. The main deity of Kamadgiri is Lord Kamta Nath. Kamadgiri Hill is a forest-covered hill that is surrounded by a 5 km parikrama path, with temples all the way around the hill. Kamadgiri Parikrama Marg also has Bharat Milap Temple and Lakshman Pahari, people go to Lakshman Pahari by stairs and rope-way as well.
