This is the finale of the Eubie Blake concert in Mekanisk Musik Museum in Denmark on July 26, 1977. Eubie Blake, and two of the Danish ragtime pianists from that time, play Scott Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag” on 3 pianos! The Danish pianists are: Leif Sloth (at the piano in the middle), and Bent Verner Jensen (at the piano to the right), while Eubie Blake is playing the piano to the left, closest to the camera. The piece is played quite authentic with the A, B, C, and D parts. Notice the very nice melody Eubie Blake adds to the C part (the second time the C part is played), from 1:35 in the video! The first 40 seconds of the video here is based on photos, while, from 0:40, the rest is a live video from the event, although not in high quality. However, the sound is taken from the recording of the concert and is, to some extend, ok. The organiser was Claes O. Friberg, who was a big fan of ragtime and a collector of mechanical music instruments, kept in "Mekanisk Musik Museum", where a number of ragtime concerts were held during the years 1975 – 1981.
