Experience the New Wem Walk 4

With the weather being a bit unpredictable today and recent rain likely to have left some waterlogged ground, we decided it was time to treat ourselves to an actual walk. We chose the delightful Wem Walk 4. Although on the route notes the official starting point is the Co-op car park, we began from the railway station. From there, we headed to Mill Street before following the scenic path along the River Roden. One of the highlights of the walk was seeing where Sleap Brook merges with the Roden, with the striking difference in water colour marking the meeting point. Our walk continued as we followed the Roden to Ruewood, eventually heading towards Tilley Park Farm. We then looped back, crossing the Shrewsbury Road, making our way towards Barkers Green and Weir Lane, passing the first two kissing gates we ever installed in 2021, before arriving back in Wem.
