In my video on tips and tricks on how to use the Mehron paradise paint, I got a lot of questions. Shon C-B asked how to mix two colors together. Is It better to mix them on your skin, on a plate or in the pan directly ? I thought it was an excellent question that I don’t remember seeing when I was learning how to do makeup by watching videos on YouTube. I tried giving a good textual response to the comment, but ultimately, showing it in a video was the best option. I love when people ask question and I can turn it into a video. So, in this video, I show 4 techniques that I use for mixing colors together Mixing bodypaint on the skin Mixing bodypaint in the pan Mixing bodypaint in the pan (with liquid makeup) Mixing bodypaint on a plate (for cream makeup) With my new setup, I though about having a setup to film me while I draw, but at the time, I didn’t thought about using this setup for my makeup videos as well. I love it and I think I shows way better how I use my brushes and my bodypaint. One thing that I forgot to mention in the video is that you can use this technique not only to mix colors, but to mix finishes as well. When we talk about mixing colors of bodypaint, you tend to think about mixing blue and yellow to get green, but you can also mix grey and silver to get a less reflective silver. I use this technique a lot when I am doing robot makeups. Also, on a quick sidenote, it is the first video I go with my new name of MonsterJay_Art instead of MightyJay_Cosplay. I also look to slightly change some other element of the identity of my channel, like the background music and some of the fonts that I use, but some of those changes with come later with time.
