You can follow me on Instagram : / monsterjay_art Here's the second video of my detailled bodypaint technique tutorial. Last time, i talked about the wet-on-dry blending technique, which is probably the technique that i use the most. Now, it's time for the dry-on-dry blending technique, which is a technique that i use quite often too. The next video will be about the wet-on-wet blending technique. The dry-on-dry technique should actually be called the "barely-wet-on-dry" technique. Even if we use water activated bodypaint, we can use it almost dry and pick it straight from the pan with almost no water. Using the paint dry allows for more control, which is great when you want to paint a small area. As i said in the video, the dry-on-dry bodypaint technique is great for doing shadows or just shading tight areas in general. It is a very useful technique when you want to add just a pinch of black without overpowering the other color. As you see in the demonstration, it is a technique that work best with small brushes and a technique that requires you to be more delicate when you apply the bodypaint. You actually pat down the bodypaint. If you rub the brush too hard, you will pick up the bodypaint you previously applied In a nutshell You start with the base layer and wait that it dries down You take your small brush, barely dip the bristles in water and then pat it on a paper towel the remove the excess water You gently rub your barely wet brush on the color you want to mix with. I love to rotate my brush to get paint on all side. You apply the color by patting it on top of the base layer color, statring by where you want the second color to be the most intense. You then move toward the other color. As you go, the brush will grab some of the paint of the base layer and will dampen the color that's on your brush Repeat until you get the desired result Do you have any question or topic you would want me to cover ?
