My very first Discovery flight (ever). I had purchased a Groupon for a 1-hour Discovery Flight with Above Flight Training out of Opa-Locka Executive Airport (KOPF), in Florida. I finally got to sit behind the controls of a Piper Archer II, along-side Jose Velasquez CFI, and perform the taxi, take-off, and flight back into the lander traffic pattern. And if I recall, Jose had said he was even thinking of letting me land but due to Tower's request for a short final onto 9L, I opted for the "your controls / my plane" and simply sit back and enjoy the view and feeling. This was such a great experience and I'm now in the process of taking a few other discovery flight to evaluate potential flight schools and CFIs.
