Operail General Electric PH37ACi Powerhaul DR20s in Finland - April 2023

The General Electric PH37ACi 'Powerhaul' locos can be found now working in Finland after no work for them was found in Germany. They arrived into the country during 2020 for the new private operator 'Operail'. Operail ran them until February 2023 when Operail sold its Finnish business to 'North Rail Oy'. During my visit in April 2023 these fine machines were still carrying full Operail livery and branding and their main route is around Kouvola running to and from the Russian Border at Vainikkala and to the port of Kotka. Filmed over 3 days, I managed to capture their operations a few times. If you are from the UK, then these locos are a full bodied Class 70, with the same engines.
