THE POWER OF GODLY GIVING Proverbs 11:24–25 , Proverbs 18:16, Philippians 4:18–19 Giving—especially meaningful giving—is not always easy, but it carries divine power. Generosity is not loss; it is a pathway to increase. When you give, you reveal the condition of your heart. Giving to God and His church declares your love, commitment, and trust. It is a vital part of the Christian life, just like prayer, fasting, and studying the Word. Godly giving releases power in three major ways: 1. The Power to Meet Your Needs- The Philippians’ giving was described as a sweet aroma before God, and Paul assured them that God would supply all their needs. Generosity activates divine provision. 2. The Power to Increase and Prosper- Scripture teaches that scattering leads to increase. While the world sees giving as losing, God sees it as multiplying. When God is involved, increase is certain. 3. The Power to Open Doors- Your gift makes room for you. Giving gains God’s attention and positions you for divine opportunities. Salvation is free, but rewards are connected to faithfulness. Desire in your heart to activate the power of godly giving. When you give, you are not losing—you are stepping into God’s system of increase.
