This video is about a Christmas season that feels… a little different. It begins quietly — with water, light, mountains — and moves through a week of making, decorating, baking, and thinking. There’s a tender moment about parenting and change, a gentle Christmas house walkthrough, and a long afternoon spent turning a leftover pumpkin into something comforting and creative. Midlife has a way of bringing many transitions at once: children growing, roles shifting, bodies changing, routines loosening. This isn’t a video about fixing any of that — just about noticing it, feeling it, and continuing on. If you enjoy thoughtful visuals, seasonal making, and honest reflection without tidy conclusions, you’re very welcome here. ⸻ What’s in this video • Scottish Highland winter scenes • A quiet, emotional reflection on parenting and change • Christmas decorating and a relaxed house walkthrough • Pumpkin purée, pumpkin sugar cookies, and pumpkin soup • Baking as a way to stay steady when things feel in motion ⸻ Simple Pumpkin Sugar Cookies (for painting & decorating) Pumpkin Purée • Roast pumpkin wedges until soft • Scoop out flesh and blend until smooth • Store extra for soup or baking Pumpkin Sugar Cookies • ¾ cup butter, softened • ¾ cup sugar • ½ cup pumpkin purée • 1 egg • 1 tsp vanilla • 2½ cups flour • ½ tsp baking powder • ½ tsp baking soda • 1½ tsp pumpkin spice • ¼ tsp salt Cream butter and sugar.
