Over the years, I’ve always seen my camera as this magic tool that helps me hold onto moments I don’t want to forget.On my recent trip to Europe, I got my hands on the new Sony A7V (successor of the legendary A73 I used for many years)! There’s something special when a camera helps you see and shoot things differently — and with this one, I definitely did. If you’re already shooting on a Sony mirrorless, upgrading has started to feel confusing. The A7 lineup overlaps more than ever. On paper, the specs all look similar. Prices keep creeping up. And it’s genuinely hard to tell if a new body will improve how you actually shoot, or just add another camera to the shelf. So the real question is simple: is the Sony A7V a meaningful upgrade, or just an incremental one?
